Researchers at UMass Dartmouth's School for Marine Science & Technology will showcase work at Fifth Annual Boston Seafood Festival

School for Marine Technology & Science (SMAST) research will be on display at the Fifth Annual Boston Seafood Festival, which returns to the historic Boston Pier on Sunday, August 7.

For the third consective year, members of the SMAST community will exhibit a booth at the day-long festival to raise awareness of the cutting-edge work being performed by faculty and graduate students.

The event offers a unique opportunity for festival-goers to learn about the creative and innovative research projects SMAST scientists are conducting in the areas of fisheries and estuarine ocean sciences--locally and around the globe.

In addition to the many educational components that are a focal part of the festival, the celebratory day will include chef demos and food samplings. Visit the Boston Seafood Festival website for ticket prices, event times, and other details.

SMAST seeks booth volunteers. Please contact Crista Bank at cbank@umassd.edu to register as a volunteer.
