Professor Duncan publishes two op-eds on future of Roe v. Wade in Trump-era Supreme Court

Professor Dwight Duncan recently wrote two op-eds examining the continuing viability of Roe v.Wade, the 1973 U.S. Supreme Court decision that recognized constitutional protection for a woman's decision to have an abortion.  President Trump pledged to appoint justices to the Supreme Court who would overturn Roe v. Wade.  The decision also has been in the news recently because of the death of "Jane Roe," whose real name was Norma McCorvey.

One op-ed, titled "The Death of Roe," appeared in The Boston Pilot, a Catholic daily newspaper.  The other op-ed, titled "The (Abortion) Empire Strikes Back—Preemptively," appeared in the online NewBostonPost.  The latter piece commented on the proposed Rhode Island Reproductive Health Care Act, a bill that means to preserve abortion rights in anticipation of Roe being overturned.
