For the victims of water devastation in Flint, Michigan, and Puerto Rico

The UMass Dartmouth Kekeli African Music and Dance Club and Frederick Douglass Unity House present ‘………..and not a drop to drink,’ a benefit concert for the victims of water devastation in Flint, Michigan, and Puerto Rico, on Tuesday, December 5th, 2017 at 7:30 pm in the UMass Dartmouth Main Auditorium.

Parking is in Lot 5 and suggested donation is $5 for students with ID and $10 for non-students. Donations of food, clothing, and non-perishable items will also be accepted.

The program will raise resources for, and consciousness about, the situation in these communities.

The program, MC’ed by Latoya Robertson, includes speakers Jose Galarza, Christian Louis, and Jose Soler; poets Everett Hoagland, DESSI, and Mwalim; projected visual imagery, and pre-concert painting in the Auditorium lobby by Erick Maldonado. Performers include Stanley Martinez with Latin American dance, the D’Sword Gospel Choir, The Step Dancers, the Lightworkers with vocalist Caiana Luse and bassist Antonio Irons, the Sankofa Jazz Ensemble with bassist Noah Mangelson, drummer Joseph Boulos, saxophonist Aaron Couto, and pianist royal hartigan, and the Kekeli African Music and Dance Ensemble led by Kwabena Boateng and Abraham Kobena Adzenyah.
