News 2018: Jim's Coffee

UMass Dartmouth Dining Services has made a commitment to utilizing the many local businesses and resources on the South Coast.

The coffee poured in the Corsair Café, Academic Carts, and Marketplace is a product of Jim’s Coffee Company, out of Wareham MA. This “Coffee with Character” is ethically-sourced from farm to roast to brew.

“Call it fair trade, call it ethical sourcing, call it socially responsible free trade,” Jim Cannell, founder and CEO of Jim’s Coffee, noted on the website. “We just call it the way we do business.”

Jim’s Coffee is the world’s first all-organic coffee roaster, grown and harvested without the use of synthetic pesticides and fertilizers. All coffee is “cup tested” multiple times to ensure quality and taste.
