UMass Law Professor Margaret Drew was appointed Chair of the ABA AIDS Coordinating Committee and Special Advisor to the ABA Commission on Domestic and Sexual Violence.

UMass Law Professor Margaret Drew was appointed Chair of the ABA AIDS Coordinating Committee and Special Advisor to the ABA Commission on Domestic and Sexual Violence. Drew was appointed by incoming ABA President Judy Perry Martinez. The AIDS Coordination Committee’s mission is to create HIV/AIDS policies in response to the HIV/AIDS pandemic and advance those policies through ABA sponsored programs and projects. The Commission on Domestic and Sexual Violence focuses on policy initiatives and trainings for lawyers who represent victims of domestic and sexual violence, as well as increasing access to justice for victims. Professor Drew’s appointments become effective mid-August.
