UMass Law Professor Margaret Drew presented on the intersection of HIV/AIDS and intimate partner abuse. The American Bar Association webinar, AIDS 2019: A Roundtable Discussion of Current and Emerging Practices Legal and Policy Issues, was presented by the ABA Section of Civil Rights and Social Justice and the AIDS Coordinating Committee. Professor Drew addressed how those living with HIV/ AIDS can become particularly vulnerable to intimate partner abuse. Professor Drew also discussed confidentiality issues and the challenges people living with HIV/AIDS face when seeking court relief.
