News 2019: Farber Presents on the Legal and Humanitarian Crisis at the U.S. Southern Border

Professor Hillary Farber gave a presentation at Northeastern University on the humanitarian crisis at the U.S. southern border.

UMass Law Professor Hillary Farber gave a presentation on the legal and humanitarian crisis at the U.S. southern border at Northeastern University. The presentation, titled “U.S. Immigration Enforcement at the Southern Border: A First Hand Account of the Legal and Humanitarian Crisis at the Mexico-Arizona Border,” was hosted by the School of Public Policy and Urban Affairs as part of their SPPUA in Action Seminar Series.

Professor Farber’s presentation detailed her time in southern Arizona providing pro bono legal representation to detainees facing deportation proceedings in immigration court. While in Arizona, Professor Farber was working with the Florence Immigrant Refugee and Representation Project, a non-profit organization based in Tucson, Arizona, while also blogging her experiences of the humanitarian crisis at the southern border.
