Description: Haley MacKeil is a multidisciplinary artist and educator based in Providence, RI. Her work draws from practices in print and papermaking to develop works on paper, sculpture, and installation to engage with liminal systems and phenomena found in nature. Through acts of labor and slow, repetitive processes she gives shape and voice to alternative bodies—negotiating what is real or imagined, logical or emotional— the natural world embodied as something rhythmic, alive, and breathing. MacKeil received her BA in Visual Arts and Biology from Bowdoin College and MFA in Printmaking from the Rhode Island School of Design.
