Provost Ram Bala received $445,918 from Office of Naval Research for “New Sensing Algorithms for Complex Seabed Terrain”. The project develops advanced sensing algorithms to improve the accuracy and resolution of mapping in complex seabed environments. By enhancing how data is processed and interpreted, it supports safer navigation, resource management, and ecological monitoring in challenging underwater terrains.
