In early September, UMass Law Professor Hillary Farber presented her latest article, Virtually Incredible: Rethinking Deference to Demeanor When Assessing Credibility in Asylum Cases Conducted by Video Teleconference at the International Workshop on Immigration Detention at the University of A Coruña, Spain. The workshop brought together scholars from all around the world to provide an opportunity to reflect, both conceptually and empirically, on the changing and mutable nature of immigration detention regimes across the globe. The article, which was co-written with Liz Bradley (University of Pennsylvania Carey Law School), was also recently published in Georgetown Immigration Law Journal.
