In just a few weeks, campus will be back in full swing — the Dunkin’ line will be buzzing, student clubs will be taking over the Campus Center, and the Campanile bells will be your soundtrack on the way to class. We’re excited to have you back on campus!
A huge Corsair welcome to ourmore than 1,500 new students this fall and to our returning students: welcome back! Campus hasn’t been the same without you.
Here’s everything you need to know for the start of another extraordinary semester at UMass Dartmouth.
📅 Fall events you won’t want to miss
- Weeks of Welcome (WOW) — Start the semester with activities happening all across campus for new and returning students.
- Corsair Olympics — August 29 — One of UMD’s favorite traditions is back! New students, bring your team spirit and get ready to compete. See the lineup of events.
- Convocation — September 1, 10:30 am — Kick off the year with classmates, faculty, and staff in the Amphitheater for a high-energy celebration of who we are and where we’re headed. Learn more.
- All-Campus Picnic — September 1, 11:30 am–3 pm — Free BBQ, giveaways, music, and the whole campus reuniting.
- Corsair Fair — September 9, 1:30–5 pm — Find your people! Explore student organizations, meet new friends, and see all the ways to get involved.
- Day of Impact — September 13 — Spend the day giving back at Sharing the Harvest Community Farm in Dartmouth as we harvest vegetables for neighbors in need. Sign up.
- Corsair Athletics Games — Grab your blue and gold and cheer on your classmates at a fall game. See the schedule.
- Blue & Gold Weekend — October 23 & 24 — Get ready for a weekend packed with Corsair pride as alumni, families, friends, students, faculty, and staff come together.
✅ A few things to knock out before classes start
- Incoming first-year students: don’t forget your two required trainings. Both are due August 28. Check them off now, and you’ll be glad you did!
- “U Got This!”: Complete the online active bystander training. Get started.
- StandUp to Hazing: Learn practical ways to recognize hazing, step in, and help build a stronger group culture. Find it in the UMassD portal under QuickLaunch.
- Bringing a car to campus? Get your permit and sticker before September 2. This applies to both residential and commuter students.
- Moving in? Get the details you need for a smooth move-in day.
- Need a ride around campus? Download the BusWhere app to track shuttles in real time.
- Want to stay ahead of the semester? Bookmark the academic calendar for important fall dates. Classes begin September 2.
Questions about registration, your bill, or financial aid? The Student Service Center in the Foster building is your one-stop spot for answers. Fall 2026 is the start of some significant changes to federal aid, take some time to review how you might be impacted.
