UMass Law Professor Julie Baker presented at William & Mary’s national conference, “Excellence in Teaching Legal Research & Writing Online.” Baker discussed building and maintaining student engagement with her presentation “Promoting Student Engagement In—and Out—of the Online Classroom.” Focusing on best practices for engaging students online, Baker demonstrated active and innovative techniques to engage students using features like polling, quizzing, breakout rooms, and discussion forums.
