On March 11, 2026, Faculty and Staff gathered to recognize and honor the outstanding achievements of UMass Dartmouth Researchers at the annual Faculty Scholarship Celebration. This event captured a snapshot of our faculty’s incredible achievements Fiscal Year 2025.

The Awards

The celebration recognized research faculty who have earned both campus-wide and national recognition:

World's Top 2% Scientists Award and ScholarGPS Highly Cited Scholars Award

Documented by internationally recognized databases, eight of UMass Dartmouth researchers achieved a citation percentile rank of 2% or higher within their respective sub-fields in 2025.

National Distinction Award

Recognition of four UMass Dartmouth researchers whose achievements have impacted the University on regional, national, and international stages.

UMassD-Max Award

This award is to showcase research faculty who have demonstrated the highest level of commitment to research by contributing the highest level of efforts in many areas to support the University research mission. The focus this year is terminal degree mentoring.
