ARH 389: Sound Recording/Audio Editing
Prereq: Junior Standing, any CVPA major
An introduction to the contemporary genre of sound art, and to sound recording/audio editing. Through readings and listening assignments, students learn about sound art¿s past and present innovators. Through creative assignments, students learn to: capture and digitally edit sound; make creative use of different microphones and DIY audio devices; create sound-installations; integrate sound into film/video and live performance.
