LAW 558: Information Privacy Law - summer

A survey of information privacy law. We will study the privacy torts, privacy and the First Amendment, surveillance regulation, government databases and profiling, consumer and financial information, data security, and international privacy regulation. This online course requires weekly readings, quizzes, discussion board participation, and writing assignments, and an online final exam. Students may not earn more than 10 credits in distance education during their first 30 credits of J.D. study. Students may earn no more than 30 credits in distance education courses during their entire J.D. program.
